Something about me...

With over a decade of experience, I have worked as a journalist in print, digital, TV and radio for various international, national and regional media outlets, including CNN, the Guardian, SBS and Australian Geographic.

I have won two Queensland Clarion Journalism Awards and nominated as a finalist for another four.

I work freelance as a journalist, editor, photographer, videographer and content creator for various media outlets, private and public organisations, universities, and various local, state and commonwealth government agencies. I am also the Media & Communications Officer for the Wet Tropics Management Authority in Cairns.

From 2013-2019 I was the last editor of Australia's most northerly newspaper, Torres News.

My work covers politics, science, adventure sports, culture, Indigenous issues and travel in Australia and overseas.
